One of the most educational training sessions I have gone through was “Social Networking & Technology” This course was presented by Gene Ferraro from Convercent (Formerly Business Controls) This informative lesson taught me how to reduce costs and conduct better investigations utilizing social networks and technology while maintaining a low risk for privacy litigation against my company.
Many private investigators utilize information on sites such as FaceBook, Twiiter, LinkedIn etc. But the question for private investigators is where does Public information start and where does Private information begin. Gene’s presentation taught me those lessons, even though many were already known and obvious, it helps remind us that we must be ever diligent in protecting ourselves as well as our clients from the traps of privacy violations.
Training such as Social Networking and Technology, as it pertains to the Private Investigator, and many other opportunities are abundant for members of the Professional Private Investigators Association of Colorado (PPIAC) Come check out a meeting or two for free and decide for yourself. We meet on the First Wednesday of most months, see our web site for details.
