About our speaker:

K-9 Force Security was started in 2012 with one simple mission… make available to the private sector what had previously only been available to law enforcement:  A highly trained and certified K9, for both drug detection and security.

Drug detection services are completely private and confidential.  They are non-invasive, as searches can be performed without opening private belongings or doors.  Our K-9 is a “passive alert” dog, which means his ‘alert’ is to sit down.  This means that no property is ever even touched, let alone damaged.  He will alert to either the presence of the drug or any residual left behind.  He can detect marijuana, meth, heroin, cocaine, ecstasy, or mushrooms.  Also, he will alert on any opiate-based prescription medication, such as oxycodone or oxycontin.

Security services can be for an individual, as in the need for personal protection, or for a group, as in patrol for an event or party.  Law enforcement has long known that just the presence of an imposing K9 is the best deterrent to unwanted or illegal behaviors.  Simply having our K9 there, will almost certainly stop anyone from doing something you don’t want to happen.

The current team consists of Mark Haines, the owner and handler and Storm.  Storm began his training at 3 months old.  He completed advanced obedience work as well as 6 months of security and protection training.  His drug detection training was completed at the world-renowned, Fort Collins Protection Dogs and Training School.  It’s operated by Joe Clingan, who has been training police dogs for more than 40 years.  He’s worked with over 700 teams, including dogs for the Russian police.  Storm was specifically chosen for his calm, controlled temperament and also for his intelligence, size and scenting ability.  He is trained to perform his duties only on Mark’s verbal commands.  He is not affected by crowds, noise or sudden movements.

Mark has been working with dogs for more than 20 years.  He is a certified handler for drug detection and security.  He’s had many years of security work and is committed to providing you with the best possible experience.

Don’t miss this meeting!  There will be networking, important association announcements and topics relevant to your profession, all within the space of an evening.
